JEANETTE FORNEY VAN WICKLEN, cid # 1271 LEAD DECORATOR
Born and raised in Texas, I currently live in Spicewood, Texas just outside of Austin.
My passion for decorating truly started when I was very young. I left for the University of Oklahoma knowing that I wanted to be an Interior Decorator. However, in my first week at school, my Dad somehow convinced me that I should go into the Fashion World and so I quickly changed gears and received my degree in the Fashion Merchandising Program. However, later in life I realized my passion for interiors never changed. Later in 1999, I received my certification and finally started doing what I loved the most. And you know, truly the Fashion World and Interior Design work so hand in hand & I now see that having knowledge in both areas is key to good design.
Interior design is always evolving just like fashion. However, I always stay true to having classic furniture pieces, adding some twist of modern, some patina, a dash of industrial and the rustic. I feel that your home should always be your sanctuary and my job is to figure out what you & your family love and how to make your home uniquely yours. A home that is beautiful, comfortable and makes a statement about who you are.
All aspects of design are my passion. However, my favorite projects are renovations & shopping for a client's home, staging it while they're away and surprising them with the makeover.
I'm married to Steven , my sweet patient hubby that puts up with all my constant rearranging of our home, my never ending design wants & wishes and who takes great care of our family. We've been friends since 7th grade, together we share a passion for renovating homes, spending time in Colorado at our vacation home, hiking, tennis, gardening, bicycling, cooking & especially spending time with our family & pets. When I'm not doing those fun things, then I also love pilates and yoga.
I'm a proud Mom of three , and "GiGi" to an adorable 4 yr old Grandson. We also have two lovingly spoiled dogs Dylan & Cooper. And we have 3 sweet & spoiled barn cats: Betsey, Lily and Mikey.
ANDREA MCLAUGHLIN OF GREENHOUSE INTERIORS INTERIOR DECORATOR
I've been designing unique spaces in the Texas Hill Country for nearly ten years, incorporating antiques, natural textiles, and modern accents in layered styles that create dramatic visual interest. A frequenter of the bi-annual Round Top antique shows, I've developed relationships with several importers of European antiques and furnishings, which I love adding to my designs for unique pops of interest. I'm married to Thomas and we've lived in Lakeway for the past nine years. Together we have three small children. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, and spending time with my family boating on Lake Travis.
I am a wife who is desperately learning to cook for a husband who LOVES to cook; mother to a handsome little boy named Tommy, sweet baby girl Claire and 2 yellow labs, Duke & Delta; and middle sister of 3 girls who talk every day, probably 10 times a day.
I was born in Houston but grew up in San Antonio. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma where I received a Bachelor's degree in Journalism. I like to say I'm Texas born but SOONER bred. In February 2006, I moved back to San Antonio where I met my darling husband Rob just a few weeks later. After four years in the corporate world (and a new addition to our family in 2010) I decided it was time for me to finally scale back from working full time and enjoy some of life's precious moments with my little man, Tommy.
I have always had a small crush on photography but over the past year it has developed into a love affair. In my spare time I love to photograph and blog about my little world. Visit my blog www.growingupgish.com to take a peek!
I'm thrilled to be working alongside someone I love and, more importantly, someone I admire in the design world. When you step into any home Jeanette has touched you immediately feel a sense of relaxation and beauty. Only after you kick up your feet and look around do you realize all of the amazing little details that truly make each house a home. She is beyond talented, incredibly resourceful, wildly creative and at the end of the day just a good ole' Texas beauty! If you haven't had the pleasure of working with Jeanette I would highly encourage you to do so.
