Jeanette is the creative Founder of jvw home .  

 

Born & raised in San Antonio,Texas, she received her  degree in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Interior Design from the  University of Oklahoma.  From college, Jeanette worked at the once  famous  Sakowitz, in the management program.   Working in the Fashion Salon, she learned the world of haute couture, fabrics & design.   Hosting Fashion Shows in the Salon along with her mentor/manager Arthur Cox , she gained knowledge from the expertise of the top buyers for the store, as well as the famous Fashion Designers of the time, such as Albert Nipon, Louis Feraud, Yves St. Laurent, Oscar De La Renta, etc.. 

 

Several chapters later in 1998, Jeanette started pursuing her interior decorating  passion & became a Certified Interior Decorator in 2001 through CID International.  Immediately she started her own  interior decorating business, Van Wicklen Design in Austin, Texas.  Over the past 14 years,  came 10  homes of her own with extensive remodeling , custom building & additions. (some were lake or beach house rental projects) She also assisted different clients with their own remodels.  With each personal home project she gained a wealth of design training and learned alot about different personalities of the trade.  She has established a great relationship with honest, hard working subcontractors, and has established a great relationship with high quality workrooms.

 jvw home evolved  as an addition to Van Wicklen Design, to  encompass all design services.

Residing  in Austin,  her fave projects are custom window treatments &  soft goods,  but also loves the satisfaction of a happy client with any room restyling!

 

Married with 3 children (ages 23, 21 & 11).

EMILY FORNEY PARKER

   

Emily is the  part-time administrative assistant at jvw home. 
Also a "native Texan", Emily was born in Houston, Texas and she received her  BBA degree in marketing , from the University of Oklahoma .   
Emily resides in San Antonio & mainly works full time,  for
 The CE Group (an amazing event planner).  However, when her busy schedule allows, she helps me with the admin. side of jvw home.
Married with baby # 1 on the way!
Two dogs:  Stella & Stoops (named after Coach Stoops!)

ALEXANDRA FORNEY



Alexandra is the creative wardrobe stylist of the group.  She was born in Houston, Tx. and received her BS degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Oklahoma in 2008.  Alexandra was honored as the 2007  OU Homecoming Queen.   She currently lives in San Antonio, Tx. and attends the UT Health Science Center Dental School where she serves as President of the Class of 2012.  Alexandra is very busy during the week with her studies (as you can imagine!) but loves working on the weekend as a very talented Wardrobe Stylist.
Her adorable cat is Norman, named fondly after her college town.
